The Computational, Evolutionary and Systems Biology Laboratory - LabBCES is a research laboratory, located at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA), University of São Paulo (USP), in the city of Piracicaba since 2018. If you are interested in joining our research group please contact us.
There were several participations of the group members in different conferences in October and November, 2024. Here are some of the highlights: The IC students participated at the SIICUSP 32nd edition at the Luiz de Queiroz campus of the Universidade de São Paulo.
Genetica 2024 One of our students participated in the Genetics Congress, 2024 that took place in Campos de Jordão, a couple of weeks ago. Beatriz R. Estevam presented here work titled “Comparative Analysis of Splicing Signatures in Plants and Other Eukaryotes”, part of her research as undergrad student in the group.
In this study led by Prof. Clarisse Palma-Silva et al., from UNICAMP, we investigated the stress response pathways of the tropical ground-herb species Ischnosiphon puberulus, a monocot from the Marantaceae family, within Amazonian riparian forests, focusing on varying flooding regimes.
XMeeting 2024 Three of our students participated in the XMeeting, 2024 that took place in Salvador, BA, last week. Beatriz R. Estevam presented her work titled “The importance of Splice Site Secondary Structure Stability: A Comparative Analysis of Alternative Splicing Regulation in Humans and Plants”, part of her research as undergrad student in the group.
